Introduction
Since the conception of our magazine, we have had the idea to create a young journalist training program. The program would include opportunities for aspiring young journalists to learn from industry professionals currently working in the field. It includes learning about better interview techniques, how to search for special angles to report, and use of professional equipment.
We will host free bi-weekly training seminars starting February, 2013 until end of July, 2013 for participants between the ages of 7 and 15 years old. The program will encompass an educational space with an emphasis on the creative. Our goal for this training program is to not only provide a definitive foundation for youth to contribute and take part in Voice K magazine but also properly prepare them for their future into the world of magazine publication and/or other multi-media career aspirations.
