Do you love to write stories? Do you dream in movie scenes? Try joining the creative writing class. Our instructor will lead you and help you learn all about how to create a great plot, develop a character, use foreshadowing and everything else you need to make your story the next best seller.
You will publish your stories in a book at the end of the class and join writing contests.
10 lessons, two hours per lesson - $350
Unit One – Understanding the Story Elements (plot, setting, characters, conflict, theme, point of view)
Unit Two – The power of detailed description
Unit Three – Other than fictions (Script writing & Poetry)
Unit Four – Editing and revising your story
Class will resume in April 2017

Instructor
Pamela Oakley is a writer and editor (and cook!) who has been writing both fiction and non-fiction for over 25 years. She studied English Literature at Queen's University and took creative writing classes at U of T.
Pamela worked as a newspaper editor at the Kingston Whig Standard, and wrote many features and opinion pieces for the Whig. Pamela has taught creative non-fiction writing and writing for children to students at Queen's Enrichment Studies Program. Pamela's writing has been published in Canadian Running, Canadian Cycling and Today's Parents magazine as well as other publications. |
