If you can’t beat winter, celebrate it at Acton Winter carnival, where you will explore what’s hot in winter!
Dog cart riding, wagon riding, and obstacle course were some of the favorites, but there were tons more that’s waiting for you to explore!
“I like working with people, and that’s why I organized this this event three months in advance,” said Jocey Bonette, the organizer of the event.
Dog cart riding was one of the most paw-fect ones! “The Good Guys Carting Dogs” brought some home trained dogs that gave rides and paw prints for the little ones!
“It’s fun for us and the dogs to be here,” said Jacky, a member of the Good Guys Carting Dogs.
Try horse shoe pitch and you’ll be struggling! You had to toss the horse shoe as far as you could and try to get it on to the peg. If you get it on the first try, you win! But it is not as easy as it sounded like because you have to throw it pretty hard and pretty far!
“I really like helping out the community and that’s why I decided to volunteer,” says Jennifer Everson, a friendly volunteer.
Last of all, there was a chili cook off where ten teams that made their own chili to be tasted and judged. All of your taste buds mattered! I thought “Miss Sweet Heat” made the warmest chili!
Now as we say good-bye to Mr. Frosty Winter, be sure to check it out next year!
