Creative Writing Class
Introduction to Creative Writing Grade 1 to 5Kids should be able to write what they want to write. Writing a good narrative story can seem hard for young kids. Sometimes, writing is not just about grammar and spellings. Giving kids a motivation to write is also very important. Our experienced writing instructor will have your kids start writing paragraphs of stories in no time.
1.5 hours per lesson - $22.5 per lesson (ongoing, pay monthly or per semester. ) Class Outline Unit One – Describing objects around us Unit Two – Fiction Writing: Story Elements Unit Three – Non-fiction writing Unit Four –Putting everything together & Story editing Class will resume in April 2017 Dates: Ongoing Wednesdays 5:00 - 6:30 pm * Note: Time may change, we will notify parents. |

Our instructor will lead you and help you learn all about how to create a great plot, develop a character, use foreshadowing and everything else you need to make your story the next best seller. Are you ready to explore the world of non-fiction writing. We will work argumentative essays, news writing, biography, fact-based research papers and all kinds of non-fiction writing. Non-fiction can be fun, in fact many of the current bestsellers are non-fictions! You will publish your stories in a book at the end of the class and join writing contests. 10 lessons, two hours per lesson - $350 (members) $380 (non- members) Unit One – Non- fiction vs. Fiction - Different kinds of non-fiction Unit Two – A good story is based on solid research Unit Three – Class project Unit Four – Editing and revising your story Class will resume in April 2017 |
